How to Talk to Kids

Sunday, November 1st at 5:30-6:30 PM

Pastor Josh, youth minister and clinical therapist, will be leading this seminar.

Do you struggle with just having basic conversations with your students, let alone spiritual conversations? Have you asked your kids, “How’s school going?”, “How’s it going with your friends?”, or “How was soccer?” – only to be stymied by “Fine.”

To overcome those conversational obstacles is one thing. Trying to direct family conversations towards spiritual matters is quite another. For this seminar, we will specifically plan on discussing discipleship in the home, and what it looks like to have spiritual conversations with your students outside of church – and this will hopefully lead to more productive conversations all around!

A few questions to begin thinking about:

  • How comfortable do you feel talking about spiritual matters with your student(s)?
  • How often do you as a family discuss the Bible together?
  • How comfortable are you asking open-ended questions, especially those related to your student’s faith?

We will be providing food/childcare! Please RSVP by October 25, 2026 with the # of adults/children/students attending, using the QR code below so we can plan accordingly!
