Our Weekday Preschool ministry is a Christian, half-day preschool program that meets
Monday through Friday (September - May) and seeks to meet the needs of our students
cognitively, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.  We serve students,
ages one through five, and their families on the campus of Wilkesboro Baptist Church.

We are seeking preschool staff members who are followers of Christ, have early childhood
education experience (preschool/childcare), and understand learning through play.

O P E N  P O S I T I O N S  :

TEACHERS

Wilkesboro Baptist Weekday Preschool is seeking applicants for part-time Teachers to lead classrooms of 12-15 preschoolers.  Ideal applicants would have experience with preschool children in an early childhood education setting and be willing to partner with our Weekday Preschool ministry to help us provide a safe and meaningful Christian learning environment for our students.  Teachers are responsible for following curriculum to lead preschoolers in learning and play, communicating with parents using the Brightwheel app, and facilitating the classroom environment.  This position also requires the regular ability to lift approximately 35 pounds and participate in activities/play on the floor.

ASSISTANT TEACHERS

Wilkesboro Baptist Weekday Preschool is seeking applicants for part-time Assistant Teachers to work with our preschoolers.  Ideal applicants would have experience with preschool children in an early childhood education setting and be willing to partner with our Weekday Preschool ministry to help us provide a safe and meaningful Christian learning environment for our students. Assistants are responsible for helping with tasks such as daily cleaning (classroom and toys), preparing snack, and helping the Teacher prepare for classroom activities. This position also requires the regular ability to lift approximately 35 pounds and participate in activities/play on the floor.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS

The Weekday Preschool is currently hiring substitutes for all classrooms.  An ideal candidate will be a follower of Christ and have experience working with preschool-age children, with the flexibility to be on-call as needed during the school year.  Substitutes are coordinated at the earliest knowledge of a staff member being out and fill in by assisting in the daily work of the classroom.
